# Why AGV’s are useful in assembly lines?

This is why they are so important when you choose the best design for your working lines:

#### **- Flexibility**

The assembly lines often used conveyors that were not very flexible, so it was necessary to calculate how many workstations would operate since the beginning. They were not flexible regarding the evolution and the market demands.

If the company would suddenly need to implement an accessory, it would turn into a complex action. When there was a new version of assembly lines to constant processes (such as cars, washing machines, stoves, computers, among others), it was very difficult to do the change, besides the high costs of investment and space.

In this trend, the AGV and AGC let us do flexible lines, where the workstation tracking and locations can be modified as many times as needed. It can also be adapted to the assembly of new products or parts because they are very versatile.

#### **- Maintenance at a low cost**

Different from the common solutions, the AGVs are very effective because they have low belonging cost of the system. They also avoid preventive and corrective maintenance.

The AGV or AGC systems assure you to have a reliable solution that does not generate high costs of maintenance. Besides that, it is certain that the system will answer 24 hours a day, during the 7 days of the week and the 365 days of the year.

#### **- Control Software**

These systems are also controlled by a software that monitors the time the vehicle is in pause, the activities to do, the destinations, the battery charging system, traffic control, among others. Besides the security in your operation, with these systems you can also know and control the variables that have an impact on the competitiveness of your processes.
