Examine each one so you can realize why these tools are the best option for obtaining better productivity. #### **1.- High flow in finished products’ area** If there is a rate of 60 boxes per minute in all your production lines, you immediately know that you have high flow operations. Considering this, **is usual that the visual sortation made by operators is not as ideal and reliable as should be, because the operator would have to pull and check one box every second.** On top of that, when all the process is complete boxes are placed in finished products area for palleting (either manually or automatic) resulting in irregular operations. This is due to the fact that there is no technological support as a sorter. #### **2.- Similarity between products** For those companies that do not have a high rate but do have very similar boxes, it can represent a real chaos to identify and assort one from another. **With the implementation of a sorter, confusion due to invisible differences is avoided.** Do not forget that if there are some errors in lots, the client could return the whole order, which only results in economic and timing losses.
