Conveyor Systems, a tool to increase your productivity

conveyor_systems.pngCompanies constantly handle different kinds of materials within their factories, they usually have conveyor systems.

According to the required application and the specific working area, we will know how these efficient tools are used.

To transport food in bulk

Bulk materials, from minerals, chemicals, food, or others whose have the feature to be a product with a certain granular type, are usually handled in belt conveyors.

Usually industrial conveyors used by food companies, must be approved by international institutions such as the Food and Drug Administration(FDA). This kind of organisms regulate the features and operating process of these tools, since they have direct contact with the product during the whole process.

These conveyor systems are usually belt, bucket, worm, of different widths and with special characteristics for the several products (cereals, vegetables, fruits, seeds, etc.). Everything is selected according to the concrete application of each company. They can be used inside the process area or at an external level of the factories.

Interconnection between processes

When a product is needed to go through different processes before arriving to the shipping area, the conveyor systems help to interconnect each of the places where the product must go to.

For example, if we have products inside glass containers, the process begins by ensuring that the bottles are clean, then fill them with liquid content in the filling area. They will then go to the machine that decreases the temperature of the glass or plastic, after that they will be direct to the labeling area and continue with their journey to the coding and the casing area. All this is achieved through automated conveyors that go along with the product in each necessary stage.

To increase productivity within the industrial routes of the factories, plastic Table Top or Modular Mesh conveyors are often used, which must be sanitary if they are in direct contact with the product. These industrial conveyors also often serve as process storage accumulators and as ascending or descending spiral lifts. They usually handle flows of more than 200 products per minute.

When it is demanded, they are built in stainless steel, otherwise, they are manufactured in carbon steel and painted electrostatically

For the End-of-Line

End-of-line conveyor systems also help with the movement and transportation of the product, which is usually packed in boxes or regular packages.

In this area, the following modular conveyors are commonly used, integrated into a conveyor system. Among those we can highlight:

  • Belt conveyors.
  • Rough belt conveyors, usually for corrugated handling operations.
  • Modular roller conveyors.
  • Accumulation conveyors.
  • Conveyors to move and accumulate pallets.
  • Merging conveyors.
  • Sorting conveyors.

Designed according products and flows, the conveyors provide vital force to improve order, the safety of operators and the product itself, in addition to increasing the operation productivity.

Stop risking the quality of your products and the safety of your operators, when implementing conveyor systems will bring you more productivity and reliability from the time of installation.
