Going through voice picking, pick to light, pick cart, etc., today we are faced with a total disruption in terms of assortment technologies ... 3D mobile robots!

What are 3D mobile robots?

3D mobile robots are machines controlled by software that combines artificial intelligence mechanisms to achieve autonomous movement on storage racks and picking stations.

Their particularity is that they not only have the ability to move horizontally on flat surfaces, but they can also do so vertically by anchoring themselves to storage racks.

3D mobile robots operate under the Good to person principle, so their function is to go up to the position where the requested products are, take the tote or the box that contains them, and then lead them to the assortment station where the operators are doing the picking. Once the required quantity of the product has been taken, the robot returns the tote / box to its respective location.

3D mobile robots can scale shelves up to 10 m. high and create a totally agile and safe environment for operators by allowing order consolidation in less than 5 minutes!
