How is the Pop Up Wheel sorter built?

The Pop Up Wheel sorter is constituted by a justifier, an induction area and different outputs  that allow to split the product according to the features of the Distribution Center.

Usually in F&B Distribution Centers, products are divided by routes or packages, so the Pop Up Wheel sorter, -which allows medium flow operations - is ideal for these industries. The Pop Up Wheel mechanism is pneumatically activated, in the very moment when the product is diverted.

It is common for these sorters to be used for handling boxes or flows between 6 and 80 boxes per minute. Generally, 80% of the operators’ working time is related to assortment service and the remaining 20% is related to full-pallets operations, where Pop Up is useful in reducing mistakes and increasing capacity and productivity of business’ operations. It is important to mention that in order to achieve optimum operations, the boxes are required to have a rigid and flat consistency.

When using this technology, note that all outputs shall be motorized in order to ensure that  traction of the boxes is fast and these reliably flow to the corresponding outputs to be palletized, manually or automatically.
