This sorter comes in the following versions:

Horizontal Cross Belt Sorter

Its main feature is to be adaptable to different designs with horizontal or vertical curves. In addition, different sortation areas can be set up with the same equipment. This is a very common tool in bidirectional sortation areas (left and right exits); besides, as it is a loop, it allows recirculation due to overflow.

Vertical Cross Belt Sorter

This linear equipment has many applications due to its compact space. Usually, exits are placed very near to each other, as a result, the number of exits per linear meter. Sometimes in this kind of tools, the product is placed directly into the sorter and it can also be adapted to a conventional conveyor system. The type of induction is determined by the required rate or the kind of product to be handled; additionally, these can be combined with the following modes:

  • Manual induction. The product is placed directly into the cross belt which is ergonomically designed according to the work station.
  • Semi-automated induction. The product is manually placed into the induction and this place it on the cross belt.
  • Automated induction. The product is received from different high flow areas and it comes together into an automated induction which provides product with enough space in between. Usually, these inductions are controlled by servomotors that guarantee the product’s placing accuracy on the Cross Belt.
