Conveyors Systems for food and beverage industry. Second Part.

sistema-de_conveyors

Earlier, we shared the first part of a guide to conveyor systems for the food and beverage industry. Today we are going to analyze the second part and learn about new tools that will help your industrial workflow to be more agile and reliable. Let’s Start!

Accumulation Conveyor

These  accumulation  belts or  rollers  conveyors  systems  have  a  very  reliable technology and proved in recent years.

The  conveyors  systems  of  this  type  are  frequently  used  in  the  food  and  beverage  industry because  they  achieve  the  zero  pressure  accumulation  by  means  of  pneumatic  or  electrical systems, they do not allow contact between one product and another when being divided by  zones.  They  are  ideal  when  you  have  boxes  full  of  product,  because  they  allow  their accumulation and transport.

There are other conveyors systems that are more recent and that arose because of the need for an electric energy saving. These equipment no longer uses air, and only use electrical devices to make the accumulation, can work with 24 volts motors and retransmit in zones by means of o-rings, or use electrically motorized rollers, they have rollers with moto-pulleys and transmit by zones. These systems allow the product to be transported and accumulated to deal with line blackouts or palletizing processes that stop because they must be introduced consumable or any other process.

This  technology  allows  to  accumulate  the  product  along  the  line  and  thus  achieve  a  higher throughput rate.

Belt Conveyors

When we have very long systems that do not need a lot of accumulation, it is recommended to use the belt conveyors.

These automated equipment are widely used because they can transport hundreds of products from one point to another in a very long length. They are ideal when you want to move boxes for hundreds of meters.

This is a low cost technology and requires low maintenance, as it has a tested and standardized system for more than 50 years in the market. They are ideal for single-bottle or full-box workflows.

Remember that conveyor systems improve the order, safety of operators and the product itself, in addition to increasing the productivity of the entire workflow.
