Which are the subsystems of the conveyor system?

subsystems_conveyor_system.pngDifferent subsystems are required for the appropriate functioning of a conveyors system. Discover which are essential for growing your business.

We are following describing each one as well as detailing the way they improve the operation:

Transport subsystem

Transport subsystem or product handling is referred to moving products from one place to another. This subsystem usually does not need intelligence, that is to say, it can be easily integrated into a conveyors system.

Accumulation subsystem

This subsystem has two options: minimum pressure or no-pressure. It allows optimizing timing or giving time to accumulate boxes so they can go through the induction subsystem. This helps to optimize the accumulation of batches and their speedy release.

Induction subsystem

This induction subsystem can be easily integrated to a conveyors system. This subsystem allows gather many lines into a single one and based on the flow of each line, inductions of low, medium or high speed can be selected. A high speed induction handles up to 3000 boxes per hour.

The necessary induction will be selected according to the kind of products, flows and operations’ expected outcome.

Level change subsystem

This system is referred to operations that allow moving products up or down between different levels. It is necessary to know the kind of flow and the required levels in order to implement this subsystem. In the case of a high speed flow, a continuous vertical conveyor, either spiral or straight, can be implemented.

Sortation subsystem

Once the products are gathered in a single line, these can be sorted into multiple options. The sortation system may be pneumatic, electric or mechanical and it can use either a low volume or a Cross Belt sorter that can manage flows up to 16,000 to 25,000 boxes per hour.
